The 8th Annual Backyard Brawl is a 6 game guarantee, 3 day softball tournament taking place at Mylan Park in West Virginia. Our 2nd trip of the year to West Virginia, this event features 9U through 18U age divisions. We've hosted 30+ teams from all over the east coast at this event including PA, OH, NY, and WV! Pool play begins Friday at 8AM and continues throughout Saturday. All teams will advance into bracket play on Sunday. Umpire fees and softballs are included with registration (2 umpires per game at every age division).

In the event the tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather, the following refund schedule will apply: • If your team has played: No games: FULL REFUND on entry fee. One game complete: 2/3 REFUND on entry fee. Two games complete: 1/3 REFUND on entry fee. Three games complete: no REFUND. In the event of inclement weather, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter and adjust pool play games as necessary to ensure that bracket play commences in a timely manner. This may involve actions such as declaring games as bye rounds or removing certain games to maintain fairness in the pool play structure. The priority is to adapt the schedule efficiently while upholding the integrity of the tournament format. Roster changes must be submitted 24 hours prior to the start of the first game. Coaches must confirm rosters at the start of the tournament. Substitute/borrowed players who are not designated as travel players and have been submitted to the Greenwood Lassie League at least 2 hours before the game for verification they are eligible to participate. However, these substitute players are restricted from playing as the pitcher or catcher and must bat at the bottom of the lineup. In the case of played-up (age group) substitute players, they are required to play in the outfield and bat at the bottom of the lineup.

Description The Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) is the pinnacle event for teams in the Alliance Fastpitch Member Leagues. The top finishing teams from each Member League will face off in a college softball post season format at the AFCS and battle it out for the title of National Champion. The 2026 10U & 12U AFCS will be hosted by Bullpen Tournaments in Westfield, Indiana. The coaches meeting will be Monday, July 13th with competition and Players Experience beginning on Tuesday July 14th. Qualified teams can receive their invite code by reaching out to Julie Whiteaker (julie@thealliancefastpitch.com) with Alliance. The Series begins with a ‘Regional Format’ that leads into a ‘Super Regional’ for each Tier. The top 8 teams will then advance into an Elite 8 that emulates the WCWS. The final two teams will face off in the National Championship Series. We’re excited to roll out plans for the 2026 Showdown in Steel Town! This 6 game guarantee showcase tournament is focused on high competition and meaningful college exposure for 14U–18U teams. This is our largest event of the year and is structured to blend high-level play with recruiting opportunities. 12U will be playing in a competitive tournament to take the Showdown in Steel Town Championship at Three Rivers.
